Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for NovelCanon Pro. Paid plans are sold and processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record, which also processes refunds back to your original payment method.

Billing

Pro is billed monthly or annually and renews automatically until cancelled. Charges appear via Polar. Because you bring your own AI key, model usage is billed separately by your AI provider — that spend is between you and your provider and is not something we charge or can refund.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time from your billing settings — no emails or support tickets required. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period, there are no further charges after that, and your account then continues on the free plan with all of your projects intact — you keep full access to your writing, though Pro-only features (such as the full Consistency Engine, tone matching, and publisher exports) pause and free-plan creation limits apply until you re-subscribe.

Refunds

If Pro isn’t for you, we offer a full refund within 14 daysof your first purchase, no questions asked. Renewal charges are refundable case by case — if a renewal caught you by surprise, contact us promptly and we’ll make it right. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights, including the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal where it applies.

How to request a refund

Email support@novelhearth.comfrom your account email with the subject “Refund request”. Include the email you subscribed with; refunds are processed by Polar and typically arrive within 5–10 business days depending on your payment method.
